STEVE KERCHNER - KERCHNER FAMILY RACING

Steve is a stay-at-home dad who races a couple 2009 Yamaha YFZ450Rs and a 2007 Honda CRF450X in AMA District 38 Desert Racing. He does old school scrambles, TT racing, and flat track mostly in the desert and Glen Helen and at Kern County Raceway and Bakersfield when possible Steve has been riding his whole life. When he got his 450R quad it was already built ready to race. He saw some videos online and in 2013 thought he’d give it a try. The things Steve likes most about racing are the opportunities to challenge himself, the people he meets and the friends he makes, and the willingness of strangers to help one another. He finds his biggest struggles are pulling together enough money to racing and staying in good physical shape.
